Who are we?
I’m Louise, or Lou-Lou as my friends called me.
I grew up in the North of France, this famous textile land, within a family of industrialists. I still remember very well, those moments spent with my cousins in my grandfather's factory, admiring the weaving looms in operation, it was magic to see the yarn turning into fabric; and as we liked to be the little hands of weaving, rendering small services: changing the rolls, making knots, ... I think that is where my passion for the material was born. Over time, I acquired the technical knowledge and mastered the skills of the textile world. I love fabrics and the endless possibilities they offer.
Another passion I also have is travelling. I like to discover, understand, soak up the local culture and customs. And in my travels I like to find fabrics, that are not found elsewhere. It’s such a precious treasure to me.
So quite naturally, at the dawn of my 30th, in 2009, I created TissuShop, to share with you this passion for fabrics. The meetings during my travels have allowed me to offer you a relevant choice of quality fabrics with trendy materials, textures and patterns.
Today, TissuShop is located in Armentières (France), city of the fabric, we are a team of 6 young and dynamic people, passionate about the textile material, concerned about the quality of its products and the care taken in the preparation of orders. The love of matter and human relationships are our common points.
Our team is at your disposal to bring you welcome, advice and service, and send you your fabrics as quickly as possible.
The whole team is committed to offering you quality products, which is why we carefully select our suppliers and their products. We are attentive to the manufacturing processes, the carbon footprint of our products and the production conditions. We regularly visit our suppliers for this.
After 10 years, the site is renewed, to meet everyone's needs. More ergonomic, it offers the different packaging (by the meter and by the roll), the different colors and all the technical characteristics at a glance. More photos, more details, more possibilities for everyone.
But Tissushop's DNA always remains the same: the technical knowledge of the products, the ethics of our purchases, availability, reception, listening, and advice.
